Due to the recent earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, the ITF announced that it has cancelled the four Seniors World Team Championship Cups scheduled to be played in Christchurch, New Zealand because of severe damage to the tennis facilities.

The 2011 Seniors World Team Championships are being held in New Zealand starting Monday, February 21 until Saturday February 26 and plenty of Canadians have headed down there to represent their country on the international stage.
Main and Asch Capture Super-Seniors World Individual Championships

Continuing on a fine tradition of performing well on the seniors tennis international stage, Lorne Main and Rosemarie Asch both brought home titles at the Super-Seniors World Individual Championships in the 80 age category over the weekend. It was Main’s first appearance in the men’s singles 80 age category, but he is certainly no stranger to success at this level as this was his record 12th world championship singles title.
