No professional tennis player goes to the Grand Slams alone. Sitting beside them on the airplane and standing beside them on the practice court are the people whose wisdom and instruction helped shape that player’s ability. At the national training centres (NTC), renowned coaches such as Louis Borfiga and Bob Brett dedicate themselves to helping shape the future of Canadian tennis. Training at the NTC under the guidance of these world-class instructors brings unparalleled opportunities for the home-grown talent that may one day bring glory to their country.

For each famous tennis face you know, there’s a face you probably don’t know. Coaches – the largely unsung heroes behind the headliners – log the same long and arduous hours, working alongside each top-level player who has ever stepped on a court.
